Technically I could take a existing P800 Yellow cart and swop chips with a 3800/3880 chips an insert that cart into a PRO 3880 but is not the case. You may not know but I can use original T58 ( EPSON 3800-3880 ) and after a modification of mine I can reset them and refill them with whatever ink I desire. If it can be shown a 3880 will run well with the HD yellow retrofitted to it, then I would be pleased to run the confirming light fastness study which should show the print permanence benefit of the yellow cartridge retrofit.
